HE LIVES !!

I have had weight and cholesterol problems for a long time and wound up on the operating table to have three stints implanted to clear clogged arteries. Because of this, I am interested in the subject of heart attack prevention and have counseled with my doctors several times a year. My wife is a health care educator, so when something comes to my attention in the health field I usually pass it along. I am passing this along to her and we will discuss its merits. However, there is something that infuriates me. After reading this latest news blurb, I'll tell you why.

The following is lifted from a medical newsletter:

High lipoprotein(a), combined with insufficient vitamin C, causes cholesterol to stick to arterial walls. But if sufficient vitamin C is present, this "sticking process" does not occur.
And there it [is] the genesis of heart disease, as well as how to prevent it. [F]urther research discovered 2 amino acids that work in concert with vitamin C to maintain healthy arteries with no plaque build-up.
And now in your FREE report, "Stop Heart Disease In Its Tracks, Naturally," you'll find out what those two amino acids are, and also at what levels the three nutrients effectively stop plaque from forming.
[M]y special report, "Stop Heart Disease In Its Tracks, Naturally" is yours FREE when you take advantage of our no-risk subscription offer to try Natural Way to Health for just pennies a day .

Okay, on the surface I like this. I have been taking elevated levels of Vitamin C for several years, and quite frankly feel there has been a definite benefit, especially shortening the length of colds and other viral and bacterial attacks. It is one of several antioxidants like, but maybe not quite as good as, blueberries. If this statement is correct, that makes me doubly happy. What absolutely infuriates me is that a medical practioner, someone who is supposed to be dedicated to improving and saving lives, won't share his great discovery, what the two amino acids are, without the consumer forking over money. Albeit the amount does not seem to be much, he is still selling a life-saving secret.

What comes to mind is a huckster peddling snake oil out the back of a covered wagon - a Wizard of Oz from Kansas.
